I feel so honored I got to shoot the very first wedding at the Harris Building in Grand Rapids, Mi owned by studio d2d. I highly recommend choosing a Studio D2D venue. They are a super fun team to work with and they know the in’s and out’s of weddings and will insure your wedding day runs smoothly. I used to work for them as well so I love it when we get to have a little reunion at their venues 🙂
The Harris building is full of Grand Rapids history, I couldn’t stop staring at (and taking photos of) the ceiling. There is a large reception and ceremony room with rustic brick walls. As well as a separate beautiful room for cocktail hour. Also, they now have a salon and a coffee shop right in the building (also owned by studio d2d), okay now that’s just amazing.
Okay, alright, about CJ and Zach. Now these two are super cute. We had so much fun at their wedding. So much laughter. After looking through these reception photos you’re going to feel like you just left a party. In fact, can we do it again? 😉
I also love how the whole day was shot indoors, such fun lighting.
Time for the first look!
These two were so happy they couldn’t stop giggling!
Then we got to go downstairs to the basement for photos, love the lighting down there.
Off to finish getting ready for the ceremony!
Prayer time with family and the bridal party, yup we were all crying.
Time to get married!
I love that these two couldn’t stop laughing. Their vows were absolutely hilarious and emotional at the same time.
Then the guys surprised Cj with a dance! It was awesome!
And then everyone came out and joined them!
Side note: Andrew Winston (below) is an amazing dancer and was in the movie” high school musical”. I am a big fan of HSM and when I found this out I of course had the DJ play the soundtrack and we had a little dance lesson. It wasn’t pretty and we don’t have pictures of it lol but you can find the video on my instagram highlights.
Time to send them off!
Despite the fact that this was my fourth wedding that week, we stayed and hung out after they left. We were having so much fun!
Congratulations guys! Thanks so much for letting us be a part of your day, hope life is treating you well in South Dakota!
